Boston Installation
The installation of the Boston is very straightforward. We have done everything possible to make the setup simple for you. The cushions do not need to be felted, and the alignment holes are already drilled. Installation is much easier with two people.
Important to remember: Level as you go. Once the frame is assembled, check it with a level. It is far easier to correct any unevenness before placing the slates.
The pocket liners are optional but recommended, as they protect the table from chips caused by hard shots.
When sealing the joints, you can use auto filler or beeswax. Auto filler can become dusty when sanded and may crack over time, while beeswax is more flexible, easier to apply, and widely available in hardware stores, natural health stores, craft stores, or from sellers on Trade Me. Make sure the slates are perfectly level before sealing them. It is also a good idea to use a few dabs of super glue in the joints of the slate. This will reduce any movement of the slates shifting over time.
